The Yuma County Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing on February 22, 2012 at 9:00 am, Yuma Arizona time, in the Board of Supervisors Auditorium at 198 S. Main Street, Yuma, Arizona 85364.

Residents living within the boundaries of the Avenue B&C Colonia whose properties are part of the ongoing sewer connection project are being asked to look closely at notices that Yuma County staff have sent out recently reminding them about the importance of paying the special assessments on their property that are paying for the improvements. Failure to satisfy the installment obligation will result in the property being sold at public auction, as required by Arizona State law.

Residents can expect to hear more about a diamond rush in the coming weeks as County Officials partner with the Yuma Sun (Sun Media) to give away seven large glass diamonds to promote the upcoming Yuma County Centennial Celebration.
